Your holiday party face starts a week early.

The checklist I give every client before a big event.

The makeup is the last 5% of looking great at an event. The other 95% happens the week before.

Here's the timeline I give my clients:
7 days out
Nothing new on your face. No new products, no new treatments. If you haven't tried it yet, it doesn't come to the party. Want a facial or a peel? Do it now, not the day before.
5 days out
Brows, waxing, threading. Do it now so any redness settles before the event.
3 days out
Haircut, color, or beard trim. A fresh cut needs a few days to settle into place.
2 days out
Hydrating mask. Drink more water. Skip harsh exfoliants.
The night before
Moisturize, lay out your look, and sleep. Tired skin shows up in every photo.
The day of
SPF, a real meal, and a small touch-up kit: blotting papers, your lip color, and a mirror.
Do this and the makeup becomes the easy part.
