Makeup By Remi – Terms of Service
By submitting an inquiry or deposit, Client agrees to these terms.

Booking & Deposits
Bookings are confirmed upon written approval and receipt of a 50% non-refundable deposit.
One complimentary reschedule is permitted with at least 72 hours’ notice. Changes within 72 hours are subject to a $50 fee.

Rescheduling and Cancellations
One complimentary reschedule with 72+ hours' notice; inside 72 hours, $50 fee.
Cancellation after confirmation: 50% of total fee. Within 24 hours: 100%.
Multi-day bookings require 5 business days' notice to avoid full charge.

Rates and scope
Private clients are billed per service, per person. Production bookings are billed at a day rate based on scope and call time. Additional talent, looks, or scope beyond the agreed booking are billed at the adjusted rate; overtime is 1.5x hourly. Assistants may be added for larger bookings at Makeup By Remi's discretion.

Travel and location
Travel or prep days without active service: $500/day. Client covers approved travel expenses (transportation, lodging, rentals) and a $50/day per diem per team member. Multiple locations or on-site work outside a studio setting may carry additional fees; kit fees may apply based on scope.

Timing
Billing begins at the agreed call time. Delays caused by production, client, or on-set schedule are billed at 1.5x hourly and may require adjusting remaining service time.

Client Preparation
Client arrives with hair clean and fully dry (dry styling) and skin clean and product-free (makeup), and provides a clean, well-lit workspace free of excessive humidity, steam, or heat. Makeup By Remi does not guarantee finish, longevity, or timing if these conditions aren't met, and may charge for additional prep. Proceeding under non-conforming conditions constitutes acceptance of these limitations.

Payments
Private clients: due in full at time of service. Commercial / production clients: Net 30 unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments accrue a 1.5% monthly finance charge. Accepted: credit card, PayPal, Venmo (3.8% fee), wire ($35), Zelle.

Right to refuse service
Makeup By Remi may decline or discontinue service at her discretion — including for illness, unsafe or unsanitary conditions, or abusive conduct — without waiving any fees owed under these Terms.

Photography and promotion
Behind-the-scenes and finished-look content, including images of Client, may be captured on-set and used across Makeup By Remi's website, social media, and marketing materials. Client may opt out by written notice prior to the session. This clause does not grant rights to a production's separately owned campaign or commercial imagery.

Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute arising from these Terms or services rendered shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
Booking with Makeup By Remi constitutes agreement to these Terms.
