Makeup By Remi – Terms of Service

Thank you for choosing Makeup By Remi for your hair and makeup services. These terms outline our booking policies, payment procedures, and general studio guidelines.

1. Booking & Cancellation

  • Confirmation

    A booking is confirmed once a written hold is acknowledged and a 50% retainer is received.

  • Cancellation Policy

    After a confirmed written hold: 50% cancellation fee

    Within 24 hours of a scheduled session: 100% cancellation fee

  • Multi-day bookings

    Require at least 5 business days’ notice to avoid full charges

  • Last-Minute Bookings

    A $150 fee applies to bookings made within 7 days of the requested appointment date.

  • Appointment Changes

    One complimentary reschedule is allowed with at least 72 hours’ notice

    Changes made within 72 hours incur a $50 change fee

  • Wait Time

    We understand that schedules can shift. A 30-minute grace period is allowed for all bookings.
    After that, wait time is billed at $75 per hour (rounded in 30-minute increments).
    For on-set productions, if talent or shooting schedules are delayed beyond the agreed wrap time, overtime rates (1.5x)will apply.

2. Rates & Payment

  • Artist Fees
    Projects requiring multiple artists or specialized skills may incur adjusted rates.
    Rates include one client; each additional client incurs a $100 auxiliary talent fee.

  • Overtime
    Time worked beyond the agreed session is billed at 1.5x the hourly rate.

  • Kit Fee
    A $75 kit fee applies to projects with two or more models; each additional model incurs a $25 fee.

  • Assistant
    An assistant may be required for bookings with more than two talent or complex production needs.

  • On-Site Fee
    A 20% administrative fee applies to all bookings outside the studio.

  • Travel & Prep Days
    $500 per day applies for travel or preparation days without active services.

  • Multi-Day Discounts

    7+ days: 25% off daily rate

    8+ days: 40% off daily rate

  • Retainer
    A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to secure all booking dates.

  • Payment Methods

    Credit Card, PayPal, Cash App, Venmo (3.8% processing fee)

    Wire Transfer ($35 bank fee)

    Zelle (no fee)

  • Payment Terms

    Private Clients: Full payment due at the time of service

    Commercial Clients: Net 30 from service completion (per NYC Admin Code §20-929)

    A 1.5% monthly finance charge applies to late payments

3. Expenses

  • Expense Reimbursement
    Clients are responsible for all expenses incurred on their behalf, including travel, accommodation, and equipment rentals.

  • Meal Per Diem (Travel Days)
    A $50 per day meal per diem is required for each team member during travel days.

4. Photo Policy

Makeup By Remi may use behind-the-scenes images or video for promotional purposes across digital platforms.

Opt-Out Option
Please notify us in writing before your session if you prefer not to have your images used.

5. Agreement

By booking services with Makeup By Remi, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined above.
