July heat is disrespectful, period. But when you have to transition from a hot outdoor day straight to an evening event, excuses don't exist. The mistake I see people make constantly is trying to fight the heat by layering on heavy, thick matte foundations and baking it with endless powder. Or applying a minimal amount of product that just melts away.

If you want your face to endure the heat, you have to build the look in deliberate micro-steps. I would definitely lean into liquids, creams, and setting sprays. Every single fluid layer must be sheared out thoroughly so it bonds directly with your skin tissue. Apply then set—there's levels to this! We want the skin to look alive, fresh, and slightly sexy, while ensuring the base underneath stays absolutely locked from the daytime arrival to the late-night afterparty.
